NEW CANTEEN

A new canteen was officially opened at the Pontefract branch of Messrs Wilkinson's [Bradford] Ltd., cabinet-makers, on Wednesday, by the serving of a free meal to the employees. The canteen, which is admirably equipped, has seating accommodation for 250 people, and in addition to its normal use, will be open in the event of air raids, as a temporary rest and feeding centre for employees and their families. Coffee, cocoa, tea, and food, will be provided free of charge in such circumstances.
