DANCES

Two dances were held in Pontefract during the weekend. At the Crescent Ballroom, yesterday week, the staff of Messrs Dunhill liquorice manufacturers, organised one in aid of the British Red Cross Fund, and over 30/- was raised The other function was in aid of the Mayor's Infirmary Fund, and was held in the Assembly Rooms on Saturday. The M.Cs were Councillor J. Blackburn and Mr. A. Kirk.
