With
The Airmen
Announcements
have been made recently that men and women over the customary military
ages can be very useful in the R.A.F. and the W.A.A.F. To help
volunteers for such work, interviews with officers of the two services
may be obtained in Pontefract on Tuesday, in accordance with details in
an advertisement in this issue.
Tank
Effort Brings Reward
Pontefract’s
‘Tanks for Attack’ effort, which realised nearly £55,000 in small
savings in 10 weeks, has not been in vain, though it failed to achieve
the desired 20 percent increase on the figures during the corresponding
period of 1941.
