Pilot
Officer Arthur Briggs, who is serving with the R.A.F. overseas, and
whose home is at 'Kendale', Chequerfield Avenue, Pontefract, has been
promoted to the rank of Flying Officer. Before joining the R.A.F. some
two years ago as a ranker, F.O. Briggs was the Manager of the Furnishing
Department
of the Pontefract Industrial Co-Operative Society, and was a member of
the Pontefract Liberal Club. He became Pilot Officer in August Last
year.
