Lawrence Wilson, aged 22, of the East Yorkshire Regiment, whose father,
Mr. J.H. Wilson, lives in Denwell Terrace, Pontefract, has had his right
arm amputated and is in hospital in a dangerous condition. He was
formerly a porter at the County Hotel, Vicar Lane, Leeds.
SEWING PARTY EFFORTS
A sale
of work, and a bring and buy sale were held in the Parish Hall,
Pontefract, yesterday week by the Parish Church Sewing Party. There was
a fair attendance and members of the Sewing Party were in charge of the
stalls and refreshments. All proceeds were for the Parish Hall Fund and
amounted to over £20
