CASUALTY LIST
In the
Casualty List published yesterday, Sapper Frederick D. Kendrick, of
Hartley Park, Pontefract, is reported wounded.
SIREN TEST
A test
of air raid sirens will be made in Pontefract on Monday, but no action
is required by the public. It will consist of the 'All Clear' at 10.am
followed by the air raid warning, and then the 'All Clear' repeated.
WARDENS DANCE
The
A.R.P. Wardens of Pontefract are to play their part in the forthcoming
'Merchant Navy Week' and have arranged a dance and cabaret in the
Assembly Rooms, which promises good entertainment. A number of cabaret
artists will appear, including Barry Constable, and spot dance prizes
will be given.
