PONTEFRACT IN 1945

12th January 1945
PONTEFRACT NIECE MEETS HER UNCLE

Mr. and Mrs E. Sherburn, of 3 Weeland Terrace, Pontefract, have received a letter from their daughter, Private Eliza Sherburn, who is serving with the A.T.S. in Holland, saying that she has met her uncle, Driver Harold Falkinder, of the R.A.S.C. They spent a very enjoyable day together, and hoped to repeat the meeting soon.

Driver Falkinder has been in the Army for five years and has served with the Eighth Army in North Africa, Italy and Holland. Private Sherburn has been in the A.T.S. for three years and formerly she was with Messr’s W.R. Wilkinson.
