PONTEFRACT MAN MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES

The London Gazette has announced that Captain P.A. Tomlinson, of the Royal Artillery, the son of Mr. and Mrs T.P. Tomlinson, of Linden Terrace, Pontefract, has been mentioned in dispatches for "Gallant and distinguished services in Italy." Captain Tomlinson went to Sicily with the 8th Army in which he had served in North Africa.
