PALM SUNDAY SERVICES AT LOCAL CHURCHES

Palm Crosses were distributed to the scholars of All Saint’s Church Sunday School, Pontefract, on Sunday. The congregation included a number of parents.

Stainers ‘Crucifixion’ was given at the Central Methodist Church, Pontefract, on Sunday, by the augmented choir of the church under the leadership of Mr. G.H. Howdle. The service was largely attended.

Large Congregations marked the Palm Sunday services at the Micklegate Methodist Church, Pontefract, on Sunday. The preacher in the morning was the Reverend Lowery of Ackworth and in the evening, meditation in the form of an anthology of appropriate music and readings were given by the choir.
