PONTEFRACT IN 1955

24th June 1955
Holiday Camp Visit

There was not a dull moment to trouble the members of the Pontefract Club for Hard of Hearing when they visited a holiday camp at Skegness, on their annual outing, on Sunday. Entertainment was provided for them throughout the day, and they also enjoyed a ride around the camp. The arrangements were made by the Outing Secretary, Mrs Thorpe.

Seaside Visit

Three buses took members of the Pontefract Branch of the Old Age Pensions Association to Bridlington on their annual outing last week. The party stopped for refreshments at Holme-on-Spalding-Moor and luncheon and tea was provided at Bridlington. Members thanked the Chairman and organiser, Mr. L. Swales, and committee members, and Mrs E. Hubblewhite thanked the South Yorkshire Motors Ltd.
