MISS K.O.Y.L.I. CONTEST
The second of a series of recruits dances at
Pontefract Barracks, at which will be selected qualifiers for the title
of 'Miss K.O.Y.L.I.' was held on Wednesday. The winner, Miss L. Baker, a
20-year-old Leeds hairdresser, received her prize from the 250th recruit
to join the K.O.Y.L.I. this year, Lawrence Rotherford, of Carleton. It
is anticipated that there will be six or seven finalists by next August
when the final judging will be done on Minden Day.
