LIVE FISH
Live fish, birds, and a fountain, formed part
of the decorations of the Tanshelf Methodist Church, Pontefract, for the
harvest thanksgiving services during the weekend. The decorations
represented the provision made for the bodily comforts of mankind. A
children's gift service on Sunday afternoon in charge of Mr. Harper.
took the form of an anthology in song and verse.
On Monday, the Superintendent Minister of the
Pontefract Methodist Church. the Reverend S.A. Marsh, preached at an
evening service which was followed by the sale of the gifts of produce
for church funds. The accompanists during the weekend were Miss Maureen
Sharp, Miss Jean Riley and Mr. W. Palmer.
