ROBERT BRIGGS WALKER

am currently researching my family history and am searching for some
information, particularly about Robert Briggs Walker.
Charles Robert Crabtree and Robert Briggs Walker (brother and uncle
respectively to my Grandfather) owned an ironmongers shop in Pontefract
called (imaginatively!) Crabtree & Walker and we indeed have
photographs of the shop
From his obituary in 1934, it suggests that he was made a freeman of
Pontefract, having I believe, been involved in local politics, but I am
struggling to find anything related to this and would be grateful for
any suggestions!
