RHODES FAMILY HISTORY

My Great, Great Grandfather sailed to New Zealand on what history books in New Zealand have said, "his brother's vessel". His name was Richard Rhodes (later always stated himself to be Richard Mark) and he was born in Pontefract, Yorkshire, 1821.

It is believed he was a bachelor when he married his young bride but now evidence is emerging he may have had a wife or two in Milton and surrounds. We do know an Elizabeth sailed on the George Fyfe to New Zealand and a person in Yorkshire claims that her Grandmother Charlotte had several children with him also. Any help on his parents, siblings would be gratefully received.
