HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Here's hoping that you all had a great Christmas and
a Happy New Year!
There has been very little added to the website over
the past month for the simple reason that I think everyone has had other
things on their minds. Now that the festivities are over for
another year perhaps we can get back on track.
The Pontefract website will only ever be as good as
our visitors make it. If it is popular and we get lots of visitors then
there is an incentive for us to continue updating it. Over the past
month or so the number of people visiting the site has been somewhat
disappointing and less visitors results in less revenue. It is vital
that we receive a greater number of visitors to help meet the costs of
making the site available to everyone so do please pass the word around
or consider purchasing some back issues of the Digest Magazines. 'Every
little helps' as they say!
It has been a number of months since anyone last
submitted anything for publication so perhaps some of you could consider
writing something and sending it in to us. We do still have a small
number of articles to publish but we urgently require more material and
with the dark winter nights well upon us it is something you might like
to consider. If you do have anything you would like to write about then
you can be assured of a warm welcome.

checking out our featured advertisements or visiting Amazon through one
of our published links before making any special purchase. It's what
helps us to keep the site available and free of charge to everyone as we
receive a small commission on any purchases you might make. There are
some great offers to be found!
As always, if you have any suggestions as to how the
Pontefract website can be further improved then please let us know. If
it can be achieved at a reasonable cost then we could consider
implementing it in the near future - and if there are sufficient people
willing to participate then so much the better.
