PONTEFRACT SURGEON & DENTIST
In
the October 2005 edition of the Knottingley Digest there was an article
about Brotherton by Robert Milner. In it he wrote two almost ‘throw-away’
lines about having his kidney removed by a surgeon who later became a
dentist. I thought there must be more to this, and so I e-mailed David
Robson, a journalist on the Daily Express, to follow this up.
Mr.
Robson replied by saying that his mother, who now lives in Harrogate,
was delighted to hear of people remembering his father, and very
promptly sent me an account about his father’s time in Pontefract.
