Pontefract Loop Line
Looking
in the opposite direction from that of the previous picture a Bolton-on-Dearne
to Blackpool club trip is heading towards Monkhill and will soon cross
the 3-arched bridge over Knottingley Road behind an LNER Class B1
locomotive. Two
of Pontefract’s mills can just be discerned in this picture; the mill
in Water Lane can be seen on the right and on the skyline just right of
