Pontefract From Baghill

This card showing nearly the same as the previous photograph view appears to have been taken rather later and is entitled 'Pontefract From Baghill'. Note 'Baghill' as distinct from 'Bag Hill'. Although there are many interesting differences between the two, this picture has been included because it shows part of the brake-coach of a North Eastern train bound for Leeds via Castleford, Kippax and Garforth. The direction of the shadows cast by the station chimneys suggests a late afternoon picture. The North Eastern timetable for 1910 shows a 4.50pm departure for Leeds and this is probably that train.
