St. Giles Church, Pontefract, Summer Fete, 1950-51

The Summer Fete was an annual event held in the Barracks Field and which included a parade through the town.
Those depicted above include Reverend J. Peel, Mayor and Mrs Wright and Mrs Peel.
On the first row are Ann Limb, Barbara Higgins (Carnival Queen), unknown, Anne Reynolds (Past Queen), 
Patricia Sutherland (attendant), unknown.
