Pontefract Tramway - Parkside Farm The tramway closed down before amateur enthusiasts (for the most part) turned their cameras to recording the scene, but there are three pictures at least, showing portraits of trams at the Parkside Farm stop. The building on the right is still recognisable as part of the Parkside Inn. The tram appears to be no. 43 which would have been transferred to Castleford depot after the fire of 1917. The livery appears to be a wartime austerity shade of green. The points in the right foreground indicate a passing-loop. One of the other pictures (not shown), presumably taken at the same time, shows a conductress posing in front of the tram which suggests a date during the First World War or shortly after.
