The First Pontefract Bus Station circa1957

I believe this was taken on the first day of public use. The building is singularly uninspiring but at the time it was an improvement on the various bus stands dotted around the town. With the aid of a magnifying glass the bus destination blind reads ‘Sherburn and Tadcaster’.
