ALWAYS OPEN FOR AUTOMATED PAYMENTS
BY DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD

From the WMDC Press and Communications Office

Wakefield residents can now pay their Council Tax bills at any time they choose.

A new method of payment has been introduced that means bills can be paid 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The telephone service is open to anyone wanting to pay Council Tax, Business Rates and Sundry Income invoices.

Councillor Graham Stokes, Cabinet Member for Resources, said: "We know that no-one enjoys paying bills but we hope that this new method of paying will make it as easy and as convenient as possible for people. At this time of year final reminders for the current year and new bills for the next financial year are going out across the District. We hope that some of our citizens will find the new system benefits them."

A debit or credit card can be used with the automated payments system free of charge. Simply dial 0845 603 1539 and follow the instructions.
